Rivers

As the river plays a key role in the formation of geopolitics  the human as aslo to build human culture. Notable rivers of Jashore are Kopotakkho,Voirob,Chotra,Muktessory,Horihoro etc.

Kopotakkho River :Two branches of Matha Vanga River of Chuadanga district are Gorai and Kopotakkho. It started to run from Kustiya district to Jhenaidah district and through Jashore's Chowgacha,Jhikorgacha,Monirampur,Keshobpur upozella and fallen to Sibsa river of Paikgacha upozella.

Chitra River:Origin from the Darshna's Mathabhanga River in Chuadanga district.It follows from Jhenaidah through Jashore's Bagaharpara union Cutuyakandi, Vaya , Khajura,Narkelbariya union and meeted with Nobogonga through Maizpara of Norail district Gobor Singhasulpur.

Voirob River :  This river is mixed with the river Shibsa in the Sundarbans.It's upstream Khulna-Noyapara (Avoynagor Upozella) Vaya, in Afra of Bosundiya upozella of Jashore Sador upozella its one banch Norail zella and other banch follows through Bosundiya, Kosuya -Norandropur,Jashore municipality, Noyapara,Churomonkathi and Hoibotpur union and intered Jhenaidah district.
