Geographical Acquaintance

The great Jashore district is situated from 88+ -40' to 89+ -50' East longitudinal and from 22+ -47: to 23+-47'North latitude. Jashore is an almost dead delta, Jashore is a part of vast delta in the middle of Padma and Hogli river.In a word,   to decided the place of straight North and South into three parts between the middle of Ganga and Bromoputro without the middle part of West-North and East -South the rest of the part is Jashore. At that time the length of the district was 244Kilometres or 140 miles and breadth was 76.8 kilometres or48 miles. According to that,area of basic Jashore was 14560 kilometres or5600 square miles. In which 4461.6 square kilometre or 1760 square mile is a part of Sundarban.The area of Jashore district was 7650squire kilometre or 2525 squire mile from long ago to pre-Pakistan.At present, there is no suivez in the district. Voirob,Chitra,Kopotakho,Hirhor,Dadra,Betraboti,Kodla and Issamoti are remarkable in the Jashore district.
