Details
Due to the mild climate and sweet fresh water of Jessore, flowers and vegetables grow in here in abundance. As a result, flower and vegetable production has flourished in this area. Specially, Godkhali of Jhikorgacha Upazilla has become the flower capital of Bangladesh. Godkhali and other villages nearby in Jhikorgacha produce over 80% of the national demand of flowers. Rose, Tuberose, Gerbera, Gladiolas, Orchid, Dahlia, Cosmos and other flowers are being produced here which now has spread to international markets.
